- Administrative, accounting and tax management, invoicing and compliance with the obligations set by current law. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. How we process data
Processing is carried out both manually and by electronic means, with security measures appropriate to current technological standards and in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, protecting your privacy and your rights.
5. Who can access your data
Your data may be processed by the Controller’s staff who are authorized in writing and trained in data protection. It is only disclosed to third parties for technical and operational needs strictly linked to the purposes above, in particular to:
- Professionals, companies or entities in charge of administrative, accounting, commercial, hosting and technical maintenance tasks, appointed as data processors.
- Public authorities and administrations, to comply with legal obligations.
- Financial institutions and payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), where necessary to complete a payment.
- Other users of the Platform: what you publish on your profile, events, reviews or communities is visible depending on the type of content and your settings.
Outside these cases, your data is neither disclosed nor disseminated. The list of data processors is available on request at privacy@elmundodelflamenco.com.
6. Where data is stored and transfers
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. The Controller does not transfer personal data outside the European Union, except through third-party services that you expressly accept (for example, Google Maps, Google Fonts, YouTube) or that are necessary for a payment (Stripe, PayPal). These providers may process data outside the EU, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
7. Retention period
We keep your data for as long as your relationship with the Platform lasts. Once it ends, we will keep the data relating to the performance of the contract to meet contractual and legal obligations, including tax obligations, and afterwards for a period not exceeding the limitation period set by law to assert or defend a right in court.
8. Providing data is optional
Providing your personal data is voluntary. However, if you refuse to provide it or to consent to the processing described in section 3, we will be unable to register you, provide the services you request or meet our legal obligations. If you refuse commercial communications, processing will be limited to carrying out the services you have requested and complying with obligations set by laws and regulations.
9. Your rights
At any time you may exercise the rights under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR against the Controller, summarized here:
- Access: obtain information on the purposes of processing, the retention period and the recipients of the data.
- Rectification: correct or complete inaccurate data.
- Erasure: have your data deleted when it is no longer necessary, you withdraw consent, you object to processing based on legitimate interest, or the processing is unlawful. We may keep it where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Restriction: have your data only stored, with no other use, while its accuracy is verified, if the processing is unlawful but you do not want it deleted, if you need it for legal claims, or while an objection is being assessed.
- Portability: receive, in a commonly used, structured and machine-readable format, the data you provided and that is processed by automated means on the basis of a contract or consent.
- Objection: object at any time to processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before.
To exercise them, write to privacy@elmundodelflamenco.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or the authority of your country of residence.
Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user’s browser, where they are stored to be sent back to the same site on the next visit. While browsing, cookies from other sites or servers (“third parties”) may also be set, for example when a page includes maps, videos or fonts from another domain.
The Platform uses cookies to work properly and, only if you accept, to load third-party services. On your first visit we show a short notice (banner) where you can accept all, reject all or choose by category. Except for technical cookies, which are strictly necessary, nothing is set or loaded until you decide.
Technical cookies (necessary)
They allow the Platform to work and do not require consent. They are always sent by our own domain. They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept until an expiry date). They are:
- mflamenco_session — keeps you signed in, holds the form security token (CSRF) and your chosen language. Duration: 8 hours at most (removed earlier if you sign out).
- emf_consent — stores your cookie choice. Duration: 6 months.
If you block these cookies in your browser, some features (signing in, submitting forms) will stop working.
Optional third-party services (only with your consent)
These services load only if you accept them in the banner or in the preferences panel. The provider receives your IP address when they load and may set its own cookies.
- Photos and videos: gallery viewer (Fancybox library, served by jsDelivr) and YouTube videos in cookie-free mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google LLC). Without your permission, photos open as a plain image and videos as a link to YouTube.
- Maps: embedded Google Maps (Google LLC) on events and venues. Without your permission you will see a button to accept them and links to open the location in Google Maps.
- Brand typefaces: Google Fonts (Google LLC). Without your permission system fonts are used and the design changes slightly.

Payment services
If you make a payment, you will be redirected to Stripe or PayPal, which process your data as independent controllers and may use their own cookies to complete the transaction: https://stripe.com/privacy · https://www.paypal.com/privacy
Analytics and profiling cookies
The Platform does not use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), profiling or advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. If they are added in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
How to change your choice or withdraw consent
- Click the cookie icon (bottom left) or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time to change your preferences or turn everything off. We remember your choice for 6 months; after that we will ask you again.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. This may prevent you from using some features of the Platform.
Links to other sites and social networks
The Platform may contain links to other websites (for example, artists’ and organizers’ profiles on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook or other networks) that have their own privacy policy, different from this one and for which the Controller is not responsible. Clicking those links may set cookies from those third parties; please read their policies for more information.
This page can be reached from the footer of every page of the Platform, in compliance with Article 13 of the GDPR and the Italian Garante’s Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools.
